A “beauty cycle” that prioritizes the planet
From water and air to the flora and fauna, our planet is home to abundant forms of nature. These gifts from the planet allow us to create products that deliver joy and beauty to our customers—which is why we’re committed to a safe and transparent production process that prioritizes sustainability. At Kurume Factory’s new tour facility, SHISEIDO BEAUTY PLANET, we showcase our values and craftsmanship through an interactive exhibition.
To let visitors experience Shiseido’s craftsmanship, the space is organized according to the factory processes. Customers can enjoy the five stages of the factory process—raw materials, manufacturing, filling, inspection, and packing/shipping—and once they’re done, they can proceed to a factory viewing area. There, visitors can witness the production process themselves and gain a deeper understanding of the process.
We kept the “beauty cycle” concept consistent through the interior, logo, experience design, and leaflet. The logo represents the cycle through a partially cut-off circle that lets the viewer imagine a larger circle. The leaflet, composed of a folded sheet of paper printed front and back, reads as if guided by a single line—just like the space.
