Unlock your inner strength and radiance this Lunar New Year 2024 with Clé de Peau Beauté. This year’s limited-edition designs place the brand’s logo between two glimmering dragons. The vibrant gold and red artwork combines Clé de Peau Beauté’s admiration for culture and the artist’s youthful style.
The concept began with the brand’s iconic key; the artist created dragons inspired by the ancient Chinese key prototype “觿 (xi).” This symbol represents intelligence and good fortune in the colorful new year.
We collaborated with Xi Wen, an artist making unique work that reinterprets the traditional Chinese craft of cloisonné. Two soaring dragons are depicted alongside growing trees to represent 2024—the year of wood according to the Chinese Theory of Five Elements.
According to the Chinese Zodiac, 2024 is the year of the Wood Dragon, symbolizing not only dragons but also the energetic growth of plant life. The Wood Dragon inspired our film, which depicts nature’s powers surging forth as two dragons unleash their inner strength and radiance to express growth in the new year. When shooting the key visuals, the delicate set was carefully created by cutting out paper dragons and trees. We dedicated the entire production to creating assets that celebrate future growth in the new year.
We designed a dynamic and cheerful space to represent the Lunar New Year. Layers of lively tree graphics made up each wall for a festive effect. The space included a testing corner, a vanity dresser, and a table for writing messages. Two dragons on the front and back walls glimmered, giving way to a symbolic and hopeful photo area. This design felt true to the spirit of the Lunar New Year and allowed guests to bring home a memory from this one-of-a-kind experience.
